Understanding Warranties
What to look for when comparing

Time-Based Coverage

Most warranties last 10 years, but some premium brands offer 15+. However, time isn't the only factor.

Throughput Limits

Total kWh you can cycle. A 10kWh battery with 36,500 kWh throughput = 10 years at 1 cycle/day.

Capacity Retention

Guarantees battery retains X% capacity. Typical is 70-80% after 10 years.

Common Exclusions

  • Installation errors
  • Environmental damage
  • Third-party component failures
  • Off-grid usage (some brands)
